Unity in the Community of Pompano Beach awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Pompano Beach. The number and amount of scholarships awarded is determined by the Board of Directors after the Annual Family Fun Day.
Recipients will be selected based on need, academic performance and community service.

2016 scholarship winners


Our four recipients in 2016 were: Diana Constant, David Lewis, Gabriel Mason, all graduates of Blanch Ely High School, and Juliette Selmeci, graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School.

In 2015, we awarded five scholarships in the amount of $1000 each. The recipients were: Sarah Green and Chelson Exume, graduates of Pompano Beach High School; Nenchyna Valme, graduate of Blanche Ely High School; Amani Evans, graduate of Deerfield Beach High School and Jeannisha Taylor, graduate of Northeast High School.

In 2012, the Scholarship Committee awarded two scholarships in the amount of $500 each to Mavericks High School student, Sari-Jai Walker and Blanche Ely High School student,Suzie Damier.

In 2013, two scholarships in the amount of $1000 were awarded to Sarah Dorvil, graduate of Northeast High School and Kinrencia Fracoise, graduate of Ft. Lauderdale High School.

In 2014, four scholarships in the amount of $1000 were awarded to Ashley Beason, Tyler McLemore, Larry Nguyen, and Wildaline Serin, all graduates of Blanche Ely High School.

We appreciate the hard work and high hopes of these students and feel that their pursuit of higher education will be beneficial not only to themselves, but to the community.
